Dr. Ahmed M. Khan
Dr. Ahmed M. Khan graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University in 1990 and earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1994. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Khan is the chief of neurosurgery at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He has been practicing neurosurgery for 23+ years. Dr. Khan implements the latest techniques in stereotactic radiosurgery and robotic surgery as well as minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Khan is a member of the North American Spine Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Khan made Connecticut Magazine's list of top doctors in 2024.
Kara Sanderson, APRN
Kara Sanderson is a nurse practitioner specialist who received her bachelor of science in nursing from Fairfield University and her master’s degree in family practice nursing from Sacred Heart University, graduating with honors in 2011. She has served as a telehealth manager for Visiting Nurse Service of Connecticut, an intensive care unit registered nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport, an advanced practice registered nurse for Pro Health Partners, and a clinical advisor and adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University.
With more than 9 years of diverse experiences, Kara affiliates with The Hospital Of Central Connecticut and has been with Central CT Neurosurgery & Spine since 2018. Her goal is to develop a strong relationship with every patient, so that care can be tailored specifically to each patient’s unique needs and preferences.
